The Children’s Ministry ministers to children in Grades 1-5. This ministry is designed to be exciting and full of energy with the primary goal of teaching children about Jesus Christ.
We believe the children of Pickens First Baptist Church have been placed in our ministry by the sovereign hand of God. The Children’s Ministry takes seriously the opportunity God has given us to impact their lives for eternity. We desire to partner with parents in teaching children about Jesus, praying that each one will trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, and equipping them to be growing disciples of Christ.

On Wednesday nights during the school year after our Wednesday night meal, the children experience the fun and excitement of AWANA! This program is for children ages 3-11.

Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action (RA/GA)

On most Sunday afternoons during the school year, children have the opportunity to meet with our Music Minister, Bryan Hester, to learn fun and Gospel-centered songs. Our children then sing these songs to our congregation on designated Sunday mornings. We also have various children’s musicals throughout the year.

Children’s Church

On the fourth Sunday of the month during the school year at 10:30am, our children meet at the Xchange for Children’s Church. This is a children’s worship service led by our youth and adult leaders. Each Children’s Church incorporates organized games, praise and worship, skits, crafts, and a Bible lesson.

Truth Journey Sports Camp

At the beginning of every summer, our children’s ministry hosts a community-wide FREE sports camp at Jaycee Park. However, each station of our sports camp teaches children how to play various sports while speaking truth into their lives from God’s Word.

Joyful Noise Music Camp

When: June 25-28, 2018

Directly after Truth Journey Sports Camp, children have the opportunity to participate in a FREE music camp at our church. Each day children are introduced to various Bible stories and are taught the fundamentals to playing piano, guitar, percussion, etc. from several music teachers. Our music teachers are highly qualified, having performed in multiple venues all over the country, churches, and even American Idol. On the last day of music camp, our children perform for their family and friends at a special worship service.
Registration will open on May 6.
