DEEPER Young Adult Ministry

• RADICAL book study beginning July 8th @ 8pm at the Tweito's. In this book, Dr. David Platt, pastor of the Church at Brookhills in Birmingham Alabama, challenges Christians in America to consider reckless abandon of the Americanized version of Christianity and a whole-hearted approach at following Christ as explained in Matthew 10:32-39. This is not a study for the faint of heart so if you are interested in participating in this challenging study, email or call Patrick. The cost for this study is $10 which will cover the purchase of the book.

• The college ministry at Pickens First Baptist Church will be taking a group of students to Atlanta January 1-4, 2011 to the Passion 2011 conference.  This is a collegiate event aimed at engaging the hearts of 18-25 year olds with the mission of God for His glory!  Speakers like John Piper, Louie Giglio and Francis Chan will move us to reconsider our lives and worship leaders like Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman will take us to the throne room of God.  Join us for this exciting time in Atlanta.  Cost is $169 before July 15th for the conference.   Check this out....Passion Website/Atlanta.
