About Our Pastor

Dr. Daniel Heeringa
Daniel R. Heeringa was born in Anchorage, Alaska into a military family. He received the Lord as his Savior and was baptized at an early age. He was raised in a faithful, churchgoing home.
He graduated from Berea High School and Gardner-Webb University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. He then received a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and, later, earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
God called Daniel to preach when he was 18 years old. He was licensed and ordained in his home church, Bethel Baptist Church, Greenville. He served as a youth minister previous to pastoring, which he has done for close to thirty years in Mississippi and South Carolina.
Daniel has served in many different leadership roles outside of the walls of the Church throughout his ministry including a local school board, state executive boards, a Southern Baptist seminary, state and national committees, as well as local charity boards.
Daniel’s hobbies include hiking the Appalachian Trail, football, a good walk, a good cup of coffee, and a good book. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He has served in volunteer chaplaincy with prison ministry, the sheriff’s office, disaster relief efforts, and high school and college football. He has also announced high school sports.
