With Our Church Family
We know how intimidating it can be to visit a Church for the first time. Here's a little info to help you navigate your first visit at Pickens First Visit! We have Worship in the Sanctuary at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. We also have small groups for all ages during both Worship Hours.
Worship on Sunday mornings is a sacred and essential part of the Christian life, as it brings us together in corporate celebration to honor and exalt our King, Jesus. It’s a time to lift our voices in unity, reflect on God’s goodness, and respond to His grace with gratitude and praise. When we gather as the body of Christ, we are reminded that we are not alone in our faith—we are part of a larger family, joined together by the hope we have in Jesus. Corporate worship strengthens our hearts, reorients our minds, and stirs our affections toward the One who is worthy of all honor and glory.
Where do I go?
Walking into a new place shouldn’t feel like solving a maze. Here’s a simple path to follow when you arrive.
Start Here: Welcome Center & Coffee Bar: As you enter, stop by the Welcome Center, located between the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Grab a cup of coffee and let one of our volunteers help point you in the right direction.
Worship Hour: Our main worship gathering takes place in the Sanctuary. That’s where everyone comes together for music, teaching, and time in God’s Word.
Kids (1st–5th Grade): Elementary-aged kids meet below the Sanctuary in our Kids Area. You’ll find check-in stations there, and our team will help get your child to the right spot.
Preschool (Birth–K5): Our youngest children meet in the Preschool Area below the Fellowship Hall. This space includes a secure check-in and caring volunteers ready to welcome them.
If you’re ever unsure, just look for a smiling volunteer—we’ll gladly point you in the right direction.
What do I wear?
On Sunday mornings you'll see people in a wide range of outfits - from formal, to business casual, to casual. Don't let your wardrobe be the reason that you don't visit a Church!
What do I do with my kids?
We've got a couple great options for kids. First, we want to make it clear that kids are welcome to join their families in the Worship Hour! We have also developed some wonderful opportunities for kids to grow learn about Jesus at their level. That comes in the form of Kid Worship (during the 10:30 Worship Hour) and Life Groups (during the 9:00 Worship Hour).
We use an electronic check-in and check-out process. We can add your kids when you arrive at the preschool or kids areas - or you can go ahead and add them to our system using the link below!
